Thermo Slim is a fat burner from XPN. It uses a blend of all natural ingredients to help speed up your metabolism and increase the amount of stored fat your body is using as fuel.
There’s a reasonable dose of some proven fat burning ingredients in this product, but as you’ll see on the label, some others that just won’t work as well.
XPN have done a good job with the way the product looks though, clear packaging and labelling.
How will this fat burner stack up against our top 3 though?
XPN Thermo Slim Core Ingredients
The ingredients list in XPN Thermo Slim is pretty average. With some reasonable doses of amino acids and a few herbs, it’s not the best blend we’ve seen.
It is good to see all the amounts clearly labelled though, and nothing hidden in a proprietary blend.
Generally amino acids do require a fairly high dose to be truly effective, without enough room for a full serving in a capsule.
XPN seemed to have got round that by making amino acids a focus of this product though.
Chemically similar to the compound Synephrine (found in Citrus Aurantium), it is believed to help fat loss. Currently there is no clinical evidence to suggest that it can reduce fat in humans.
This ingredient is the product of clever marketing and should be avoided if you want a fat burner that works.
L- Carnitine is great for heart health. In particular blood vessel health and heart rhythm. It has also been shown to help those with a high cholesterol and triglyceride count.
On an athletic level, L-Carnitine can both optimise performance and increase fat burning. It carries fat directly to the mitochondria where energy is produced.
Generally L-Carnitine is better at higher doses in supplements, so is often under dosed in fat burners.
Green Tea is very popular amongst health and fitness enthusiasts in recent times. Especially as it has been found that when combined with caffeine, it can boost your metabolism far beyond what caffeine can do alone.
Studies have shown that it can increase your metabolism to the point of burning an extra 200 calories a day without added exercise. 500mg of Green tea is perfect in a fat burner.
L- Tyrosine is important for neuromuscular function. It has been shown to effect mood, satiety, stress response, mental function, and even sex drive.
It is a non-essential amino acid which is synthesised within the body from the amino acid phenylalanine.
It also has a major role in producing melanin in the body and this is imperative for defending the body against ultraviolet light.
As another amino acid, L-Tyrosine benefits from higher doses. (500mg+)
Cayenne Pepper is a species of pepper native to the Americas. It is a key element in various cuisines but is now often used as a supplement.
Cayenne Pepper contains capsaicin which is known for its “warming effect.” It is known for its positive effects on healthy blood circulation throughout the body. This ingredient has been proven to burn calories in fat burners. 100mg through the day is an ideal amount.
XPN Thermo Slim Dose
You can get as many as 100 capsules in a box of XPN Thermo Slim.
But given this fat burner uses 200mg of Raspberry Ketones, we’d recommend taking only 1 capsule per day.
This single capsule will be, for the most part under dosed in terms of it’s L-Carnitine and L-Tyrosine content too. Meaning the effects you get may not be as good.
XPN Thermo Slim Side Effects
You shouldn’t really get any unwanted side effects from XPN Thermo Slim.
Especially if you take care with the capsules.
The problem is though, that it just doesn’t contain enough balanced ingredients to give you any fat burning effects either, which is a little frustrating.
XPN Thermo Slim Review Conclusion
This is a fairly average product and can’t really stand up too well against other premium fat burners on the market.
If you are serious about burning fat, we’d recommend checking out our top 3 fat burners.
XPN Thermo Slim just relies too much on unproven ingredients and amino acids, leaving out the proven and scientifically backed ingredients when it comes to getting you shredded.
