Getting ripped requires focus, a bit of hard work and a good fat burner. If you’ve been wanting to shift the last few % of body fat, or completely overhaul your physique, a fat burner is a good place to start. Twinlab Ripped Fuel is a fairly basic product that uses 2 proprietary blends to deliver a range of natural ingredients.
Looks wise, this supplement looks good but those blends listed on the back could be a problem.
You’re getting a good range of ingredients and there are some proven and effective fat burners in Twinlab Ripped. But do they compare to our top 3?
Twinlab Ripped Fuel Fat Burner Core Ingredients
Ingredients wise Twinlab has quite a varied profile.
It’s good to see the use of natural herbs and ingredients being the focus, but the fact that it does cover individual amounts into a proprietary blend is a big let down.
Lot’s of these ingredients are stimulants too, so if you are sensitive or want to completely avoid side effects, Twinlab Ripped Fuel could be a risky purchase.
With vitamin D deficiencies always on the rise, it’s good to see Twinlab have put the sunshine vitamin in Ripped Fuel. But it’s more at home in a testosterone booster and not a fat burner.
Green Tea is very popular amongst health and fitness enthusiasts in recent times. Especially as it has been found that when combined with caffeine, it can boost your metabolism far beyond what caffeine can do alone.
Studies have shown that it can increase your metabolism to the point of burning an extra 200 calories a day without added exercise. 500mg of Green tea is perfect in a fat burner.
Guarana is an incredibly effective stimulant. Its seeds contain more than double the caffeine found in coffee seeds.
Guarana contains 2-4.5% caffeine in its seed, whereas coffee only contains 1-2%.
Due to its high content of caffeine it is proficient in boosting the metabolism and increasing mental alertness.
Guarana can cause side effects due to it’s caffeine content and shouldn’t be mixed with other stimulants.
A form of holly bush, Yerba is generally found in teas. This extract is rich in antioxidants and is through to contain a rang of amino acids and minerals that can help with focus, physical endurance and feeling full. There isn’t a huge amount of research on Yerba, but it should provide at least minor benefits when dosed correctly.
Cayenne Pepper is a species of pepper native to the Americas. It is a key element in various cuisines but is now often used as a supplement.
Cayenne Pepper contains capsaicin which is known for its “warming effect.” It is known for its positive effects on healthy blood circulation throughout the body. This ingredient has been proven to burn calories in fat burners. 100mg through the day is an ideal amount.
Twinlab Ripped Fuel Fat Burner Dose
You get 2 capsules twice per day in Ripped Fuel fat burner.
Whilst this amount of capsules through the day is fairly good, ultimately it just doesn’t compare with our number #1 fat burner.
For best fat burning results, you need an even spread of 3-4 capsules through the day, as opposed to doubling up servings like in Twinlab Ripped Fuel.
Twinlab Ripped Fuel Fat Burner Side Effects
Side effects from Guarana at a high dose could include some nausea and sickness.
There is also potential for this ingredient to cause some anxiety and restlessness, particularly if taken too close to bed time.
Most of the other ingredients in Twinlab Ripped Fuel are safe at the correct doses though, but the proprietary blend does make it slightly difficult to see how much you are taking.
Twinlab Ripped Fuel Fat Burner Review Conclusion
Sadly, we’re not a fan of Twinlab Ripped Fuel Fat burner.
The fact they’ve used a proprietary blend is the first issue, but there are also problems with the ingredients like Guarana and Yerba mate which are known for side effects.
It’s good to see some green tea in here, and you could presume this makes up the most of Twinlab Ripped Fuel’s ingredients.
