Shredding for summer can be pretty hard. It takes hard work in the gym, a clean diet and a lot of toughness.

A solid fat burner can make all this easier. With a good product you’ll have more energy, better focus and a burning metabolism. Meaning you’ll be burning through extra fat and calories.

NVIE Shred is a fairly good looking fat burner, with a list of natural ingredients that include a balance of natural herbs.

Let’s take a look and see if this is going to get you shredded for summer.

NVIE Shred Pro Extreme Fat Burner Core Ingredients

Ingredients taken from Ingredients Index

There’s a fairly long ingredients list in Shred Pro Extreme. This includes a few amino acids, some stimulants and some other herbs used for fat burning properties.

Whilst most of the ingredients will have some effect on your metabolism and success, it seems that they tend to be dosed a little low.

Especially the amino acids, which generally require high doses to be properly used by the body.

Choline

Choline is vastly important to creating acetylcholine which is critical to the body’s ability to send nerve impulses. A member of the B- Vitamin family, it is vital to brain function and health.
As well as influencing cell membrane health it also influences the metabolism of fat and cholesterol in the body.

Caffeine

Caffeine is a staple supplement to modern day life. It is a highly effective stimulant in how it boosts the metabolism, mobilises fat to be used as energy and suppresses appetite.
As well as this it can boost the effects of other metabolism boosting products, such as green tea or bitter orange.
It has long been used by athletes, and non-athletes alike, in order to increase alertness, endurance and longevity.
This is essential for a fat burner. You need around 250mg-300mg dosed evenly through the day for best results.

L-Carnitine (and Acetyl L-Carnitine)

L- Carnitine is great for heart health. In particular blood vessel health and heart rhythm. It has also been shown to help those with a high cholesterol and triglyceride count.
On an athletic level, L-Carnitine can both optimise performance and increase fat burning. It carries fat directly to the mitochondria where energy is produced.
Generally L-Carnitine is better at higher doses in supplements. It is quite heavily under dosed in this NVIE’s Shred Pro.

Dandelion Leaf

Dandelion is a popular herb which has been used for centuries as a traditional health remedy.
It has also been shown to improve cholesterol levels, as it increases HDL while lowering LDL. This study is only in its early stages currently so it needs monitoring, however, it could be a good addition to your diet if you’re looking to lower your cholesterol levels.

Citrus Aurantium

Also known as bitter orange.
Synephrine is the compound found within the unripe fruit of Citrus Aurantium. It has been shown to have the same effects as ephedra or ephedrine, without being able to be converted to methamphetamines.
It is shown to increase metabolic rate, fat break down, thermogenesis and also shown to decrease a person’s appetite.
Due to the similarities however, it can also cause similar side effects. Especially when combined with other stimulants.

White Willow

This has a variety of uses, from making aspirin to making gunpowder.
It has been shown to provide comfort to muscles and joints due to its links to aspirin.
There is no real evidence however showing it’s use within a fat burner.

Yohimbe

Yohimbe has been shown to help increase power, inner strength and vitality. This is largely due to its effect upon the libido, both male and female.
It is also particularly useful for suppressing appetite. This effect combined with its ability to target stored fat makes it a commonly used supplement for fat loss.
The jury is still out on how effective it is however, with some studies showing unwanted side effects and limited benefits.

NVIE Shred Pro Extreme Fat Burner Dose

The doses of the key ingredients in Pro Extreme are pretty low.

For optimal fat burning you need clinically dosed amounts of proven ingredients. Whilst amino acids like L-Carnitine can help with fat loss, they need to be dosed higher and you need to be training hard.

The 50mg just won’t be enough.

It’s also worth remember that you need a fat burner that uses a minimum of 3 capsules per day to ensure you are keeping yourself dosed through the day. This will help suppress your appetite keep you full of energy.

NVIE Shred Pro Extreme Fat Burner Side Effects

You should be prepared for negative side effects from the interactions between the stimulants in this product. Generally these side effects will be headaches and nausea and can really get in the way of any effective fat loss you are trying to achieve.

One good thing is the the doses of stimulants are on the lower side, which does make them slightly safer.

NVIE Shred Pro Extreme Fat Burner Review Conclusion

This is an ok product. But generally the doses of the effective ingredients are too low to guarantee you any results.

It’s also worth remember that citrus aurantium, caffeine and yohimbe can negatively interact with each other and cause side effects.
