The latest Cellucor fat burner promises that you will take your workout to the XTREME. But as well as being a powerful thermogenic and energy intensifier, Cellucor superhd xtreme offers “mood support”. The price we found Cellucor SuperHD at was $99, which is pretty expensive for a fat burner. Is it worth it?
It’s worth noting that you cannot actually see the amount of each ingredient you are getting in Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme, which instantly, if you’ve read any other my articles is a negative. I’m currently cutting down and want to know what I’m putting in my body. Dosage is absolutely crucial. That issue aside though, lets take a look at some of the key Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme ingredients:
A must in my eyes. Any fat burner needs to have a decent amount of caffeine in order to keep your energy levels up while you are cutting. With 300mg in each capsule you are getting the ideal dose to keep you going through the day.
Similar to caffeine, the Tetramethyluric Acid found in Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme is supposed to serve as an energy booster. The problem with this ingredient, even though it is similar to caffeine is that in smaller doses it can actually have the opposite effect. Tetramethyluric Acid or Theacrine is actually found in Kucha tea, which is widely available as a sedative. Personally, the fact they don’t show the exact dose of this ingredient is a slight cause for concern, as it could actually have the opposite effect to what it was intended.
Cayenne is what gives Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme it’s thermogenic effect. It’s good to see this ingredient in here as it is effective at what it does. You ideally want to be looking at a dose of around 100mg per capsule to really get your temperature up and feel the benefit. Again, we can presume that Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme contains the right amount, but as it doesn’t list the exact doses, it could under perform and be a wasted ingredient, or worse, contain too much and cause a stomach upset.
Caffeine Pterostilbene Cocrystal
Caffeine Pterostilbene is another ingredient similar to caffeine with the same stimulatory effects. However Caffeine Pterostilbene works by stimulating different areas of the brain. The problem with Caffeine Pterostilbene is that it is HIGHLY stimulatory and in professional sports, will test as false positive for amphetamines. While the exact dose might be absolutely fine in Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme you cannot be completely sure. Be wary.
Another Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme ingredient to help with mood. This is a form of herb that is consider psychoactive, and has been know to be hallucinogenic. This was most likely in higher doses though, and the contents of SuperHD shouldn’t have anywhere close enough to this amount. On the contrary it has been found that this ingredient will provide you with a feeling of calm and it has been taken in the past to ensure the success of hunting and stressful events.
For the number of ingredients in Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme the total dose of the blend does seem good in each capsule. However there are a large number of ingredients and often you will found with a product like this that there are some ingredients that are dosed higher than the others. 2 capsules a day may also be a little sparse to really get the thermogenic effect and energy levels. When buying a fat burner it’s important to understand fully what is inside each capsule but to also feel the effects through the day.
Cellucor SuperHD Xtreme is a promising fat burner. However for me it feels like it is a little heavy on the ‘Mood Elevation’. While cutting can be hard and require mental focus, when choosing a fat burner you should invest in something that has a strong thermogenic effect and ideally will ensure you are left feeling satisfied between meals. And provide you with energy, obviously. When we first looked at it we thought it was going to be a contender for our number one, but sadly it’s fallen flat due to its propriety blend and nootropic-esq ingredients list.
