Cellucor Super HD Razor Review

By | July 13, 2017

Slash fat without the need for stimulants with Cellucor Super HD Razor. Or so they say.

We recently reviewed the Day and Night fat burner Super HD Fire, and found it to be a slightly average fat burner and not as specialist as it looks.

But will Super HD Razor stand up as a true stim free fat burner? Or are Cellucor just trying to put a new spin on a fairly flat idea.

Super HD Razor once again looks the part and if you flip the box to the ingredients, you’ll see a load of uncommon herbs in their big proprietary blend.

Cellucor Super HD Razor Core Ingredients

As with lots of other products, Cellucor use a proprietary blend to hide the individual doses of ingredients. Meaning you can’t see exactly what you are taking.

Generally filling products full of cheap and less effective ingredients is more of a problem with lesser known supplement companies, rather than the bigger one like Cellucor.

As a fat burner blend though, Super HD Razor just seems to be lacking, in most areas. Choosing ‘rare’ lesser known ingredients, and a smaller amount of them.

Cellucor Super HD Razor Ingredients

CLA (Tonealine)

Conjugated linoleic acid is a fairly well researched fat burning ingredient. It helps with the breakdown of stored fats whilst also increasing metabolism. At the correct dose most people would get good results from this, however it’s impossible to see the amount of CLA in Cellucor Super HD Razor.

Synetrim CQ (Cissus quadrangularis)

Part of the grape family and is generally used for joint and bone health. Interestingly there are also benefits with using this plant for some feminine disorders and menopause.

In terms of fat burning there is little evidence to support the use of Synetrim for fat burning and so it’s

L-Carnitine

L- Carnitine is great for heart health. In particular blood vessel health and heart rhythm. It has also been shown to help those with a high cholesterol and triglyceride count.
On an athletic level, L-Carnitine can both optimise performance and increase fat burning. It carries fat directly to the mitochondria where energy is produced.
Generally L-Carnitine is better at higher doses in supplements, so is often under dosed in fat burners.

Cellucor Super HD Razor Dose

Take two capsules twice daily before meals.

This is a fairly good dose, and not bad for something that is stimulant free.

It’s important to get the right dose when you are cutting with a fat burner.  As you need your body to be utilizing the fat burning herbs through the day.

We’re frustrated that Cellucor have opted to hide the individual doses of ingredients, as this means it’s hard to gauge the results you could get from Cellucor Super HD Razor.

Generally we’d always stick with a fat burner that clearly shows doses of ingredients.

Cellucor Super HD Razor  Side Effects

You shouldn’t expect any side effects from Super HD Razor. Cellucor haven’t really put many ingredients into it at all, instead opting for a big capsule of CLA and Carnitine with some grape extract (essentialy) thrown in for good measure.

Whilst you won’t get any side effects, it’s hard to see many results coming from Super HD Razor either, you’d be better of with a fat burner of similar price and more ingredients.

Cellucor Super HD Razor Review Conclusion

As a fat burner, this is quite weak.

We understand that Cellucor have chosen to create a product that has no stimulants in it, which is fair enough, but as with Super HD Fire, Super HD Razor just isn’t enough when it comes to seriously burning fat.

For the price you pay for this product there are better fat burners out there that have stronger and bigger ingredients profiles.

We can’t say that Cellucor Super HD Razor doesn’t look good though, as it’s probably one of the best looking fat burners on the market, but really, it’s what inside that counts.
